The Foum Zguid desert tour starts at 9 AM. You set off on the track in the desert towards the great dunes of Erg Chigaga. You will cross immense desert plains, hamadas. We also go through the “Moroccan Colorado”. The mountains in this part are beautiful. The journey between Foum Zguid and Erg Chigaga takes approximately 2 hours. You will make stops to enjoy the panoramic views. In addition, a visit to Lake Irqui is part of this first day. Departure is after breakfast. You leave with your guides and the camel caravan. It takes around 4 hours of walking during the day. At noon, picnic lunch in the middle of the Erg Chigaga desert.

Camel trekking in the Moroccan desert is a perfect activity to reconnect with nature and yourself. It is an experience that is both authentic and original. At the end of the day, your guides will set up the mobile camping for the night at the foot of the dunes. The meal is prepared over the fire, under the stars. You will spend a second night in the desert.

3rd day of the 4×4 Foum Zguid to Erg Chigaga desert trip

After breakfast in the desert, your driver will pick you up in a 4×4. You then begin the return to Foum Zguid.

During this Foum Zguid desert excursion, you also stop to see the fossils and visit the nomads for lunch. Return to Foum Zguid in the afternoon.
