This region is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest saffron, thanks to its unique climate and traditional cultivation methods. The harvest season is late October to early November.   • Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – N’Kob

From Rissani, you cross the desert landscapes towards Alnif and there’s an opportunity to visit a local fossil shop or small museum.

4th day of the Agadir to Merzouga tour

After breakfast, you take the road to Agadir.

You head northwest through the volcanic landscapes of the Jebel Saghro range, following quiet desert roads toward Tazenakht. This quiet Berber town is famous for its high-quality handwoven carpets. Stop in Tazenakht to visit a cooperative of traditionally handcrafted Moroccan carpets.

Then the Agadir desert tour goes to Taliouine and the next stop is Taroudant.

Taroudant is a charming walled city called the “the Little Marrakech”. Surrounded by impressive ochre ramparts and fertile citrus groves, Taroudant offers traditional atmosphere. You’ll have free time to visit the medina and explore the souks or visit the Kasbah.

After your visit to Taroudant, you continue west toward Agadir. As you descend from the mountains toward the Atlantic coast, the landscape softens into rolling plains and argan groves. You arrive back in Agadir in the late afternoon.
