3-day hike in the Atlas mountains – trek from Marrakech – Morocco trekking tour 3 days – Atlas hiking tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Ascent to the Col de Tacht 1900m

For this hike in Morocco, you will meet your driver in the morning. Departure by 4×4 towards Asni. Once in Asni, the road continues to the village of Imi N’Oughlad. The village is a starting point for Atlas trekking tours. Your guides and muleteers await you on site. You can start your Marrakech Atlas hike. You cross the village of Imi N’Oughlad, before advancing towards the Tacht pass which is at an altitude of 1900m.

At noon, lunch takes the form of a picnic in front of the sublime landscapes of the Moroccan High Atlas.

In the afternoon, the Marrakech Atlas hike continues with the descent to a typical Berber village (Tighdouine) where you will spend the night. Dinner with a family of local residents. The overnight is planned in a typical quest house.

Day 2: In the Valleys of the Moroccan High Atlas

The second day of your 3-day Atlas trek continues with a walk to the Matate pass (2100m). You can enjoy the magnificent panoramic views over the Azzden Valley and the mountains.

Your hike in the Moroccan Atlas then continues with a descent to the Matate Valley. Typical villages are nestled in the Valley. After a break, you begin the climb to the Aguersioul pass (1900m). You descend into the Imnane Valley and pass through several charming villages. Overnight in one of the Berber villages in the Imnan valley.

Day 3: 3-day hike in the Atlas : Tamaterte pass to Imlil

Your Atlas trek from Marrakech continues in the morning of the 3rd day. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Imnane Valley. With your local guides, you advance towards the Tamatert pass. The pass is located at an altitude of 2200m.

You can admire the landscapes of the Aït Misane Valley which stretches out before your eyes. Hiking in the Atlas allows you to enjoy splendid panoramic views of the High Atlas mountains. But also of the Valleys and the typical Berber villages.

For the last stage of your 3-day Marrakech Atlas trek, you begin a descent to Imlil. Your driver will meet you there for the return to Marrakech.
