Day 1 Fes Merzouga tour – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Erg Chebbi

After departure from Fez, you will pass through Midelt, Ziz Valley, Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga in the evening. During the first day of this Fes Merzouga excursion, you will travel from the city of Fes to the Moroccan desert.

Visit of Ifrane and Azrou

You take the road in the morning direction Ifrane. It is a city in the Middle Atlas. You continue to Azrou. This city is located about 90km from Fez at an altitude of 1,200 m. The landscapes are hilly and very green. Next to Azrou is the largest cedar forest in Morocco.

Midelt and the Ziz Valley

You continue your Fes Merzouga trip via Midelt, a city located between the Middle Atlas and the Eastern High Atlas chains. Then cross the Ziz Valley in the Eastern High Atlas where there are beautiful palm groves…

Erg Chebbi dunes

The road to the Moroccan desert continues! Your guide will take you through Errachidia before arriving in Erfoud. This city is located in a large oasis. Then direction Rissani where a visit allows you to discover its many ksars!

In the afternoon, you finally arrive in Merzouga, where you find the camels and enjoy a tour in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After sunset, dinner and night in Merzouga desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

For this 2nd day of your Fez to Erg Chebbi tour, on the program:

• sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes and breakfast at the Merzouga desert camp,
• you enjoy a little more the Sahara,
• and departure for the Todra Gorges!

First, you pass by the Todra Gorge, located in the High Atlas. Some of their rock walls reach 300m in height! Lunch there and short walk on the river bord. After passing through the Todra Valley, you head for the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorge. Magnificent landscapes and views on the mountains and the small berber villages all long the way. Dinner and night in a charming riad in the Dades Gorges.

Day 3 : Fes Merzouga tour: Dades Gorges – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

The 3rd day of this Merzouga excursion from Fez is dedicated to the journey to Marrakech. You passe through the Valley of Roses and Skoura which is located near Ouarzazate (40km). Discovery of the Kasbahs and the palm grove. Then, in Ouarzazate, you may visit the movie studios before visiting the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou with a local guide.
