1st day of the Merzouga camel trek
You leave in the morning of the first day of this camel trekking tour in the desert of Merzouga. You find the camels that form the caravan. They accompany you during this excursion in the Moroccan desert.
Once the camels saddled and the traditional turbans on your heads, you are ready to start your trip in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This 3-day camel trek in the Sahara begins with a walk to the Oasis of Merzouga. You should arrive at a smaller Oasis around noon, for lunch. Break and relax in the shade of tamarisk.
The trek in the desert of Merzouga continues in the afternoon. You advance on the path of sand in the footsteps of the caravan. After a good walk in the desert, you arrive in the afternoon at the Oasis of Merzouga. You will enjoy the sunset on the big dune of Erg Chebbi which rises to 150m! Your guides will prepare dinner on the fire. You spend a convivial evening around the fire in the wild camping set up for the night. You will sleep in the desert of Merzouga.
2nd day of the Merzouga trekking excursion
Those who wake up early will be able to enjoy the sunrise. After breakfast, your 3-day Merzouga trekking tour continues towards the Aznigi desert. The camel caravan continues its trip. You walk or enjoy the views on the backs of camels.
Lunch will be taken in an oasis, in the shade. The Sahara camel trek then takes you to the Aznigi Desert. There, you will meet nomads who live in the desert and with whom you will share dinner. Traditional Berber cuisine is on the menu! You spend a second night in the Moroccan desert. Your hiking excursion in Merzouga continues.
3rd day Morocco trek in the Sahara: back to Merzouga
The 3rd day of your Merzouga desert tour begins with breakfast in the Aznigi desert. Then, you continue the trek in the Sahara. On your way you will visit small typical villages: Tamardanit, Mifiss and its old mines, then Gnawa. You enjoy dinner in this last village. Your 3-day Morocco camel trek is coming to an end and your guides accompany you to Merzouga.
